The General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons (GASIMP) received a delegation comprising the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Mr. Ali Al-Nadhouri, and the Head of the Libyan Union of Associations and Organizations for Families of Martyrs and Missing Persons, Mr. Mohamed Ajala, along with several members of the Union. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation and communication between state institutions and bodies concerned with the missing persons file.

Field Tour of Specialized Facilities

    The visit included an inspection tour of GASIMP’s various facilities, including specialized laboratories and technical departments. The delegation was briefed on operational workflows, the efforts of the technical and administrative staff, and the advanced technologies utilized in search and identification processes.

Commending GASIMP’s Humanitarian Role

    The visiting delegation expressed deep appreciation for GASIMP’s national and humanitarian role. They praised the continuous efforts of the Chairman, Prof. Dr. Kamal Al-Siwi, and the Authority’s workforce, highlighting the significant milestones achieved in managing the missing persons file and serving affected families.

   Mr. Ali Al-Nadhouri reaffirmed the Ministry of Social Affairs’ commitment to supporting GASIMP and coordinating with relevant entities to enhance its operational capabilities. Similarly, Mr. Mohamed Ajala and members of the Union expressed full support for the Authority, commending its professional and humanitarian dedication.

Presentation of Shields of Appreciation

  At the conclusion of the visit:

• The Deputy Minister of Social Affairs presented a Shield of Loyalty and Appreciation to GASIMP in recognition of its national contributions.

• The Head and members of the Libyan Union presented a special commemorative shield to GASIMP Chairman Prof. Dr. Kamal Al-Siwi, acknowledging his dedication and ongoing efforts to advance the missing persons file in Libya.

   Both parties emphasized the importance of continued coordination between GASIMP and supporting institutions to deliver justice to families and achieve meaningful progress in this humanitarian cause.
