Following reports received from the Al-Heisha and Sirte summary prosecution offices, technical teams from the GASIMP offices in Misrata and Sirte, in cooperation with the Authority’s technical departments, have commenced operations in accordance with approved procedures.

Forensic Examination and Sampling

    The teams handled two unidentified cases at the Misrata Teaching Hospital and four other cases at Ibn Sina Hospital in Sirte. Forensic examinations were conducted, and the necessary biological samples were collected following established protocols.

Final Procedures and Burials

    Procedures for the cases in Misrata have been completed, and they were laid to rest in the Tammina cemetery. Meanwhile, operations are still ongoing in Sirte to complete the necessary steps before burial.

Laboratory Analysis

    The collected samples will be referred to the Laboratory Department for analysis. The results will then be cross-referenced with GASIMP’s central database to determine the identities of these individuals.
