As part of ongoing parliamentary oversight and support for national institutions, Dr. Abdulsalam Nassiya, Member of the House of Representatives, conducted an official visit to the headquarters of the General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons (GASIMP).

He was received by the Chairman of the Authority, Prof. Dr. Kamal Al-Siwi, who welcomed the visit and emphasized its importance in bolstering the institution’s efforts and operational efficiency.

Monitoring Progress and the Derna File

During his visit, Dr. Nassiya toured several departments and technical sections to observe the workflow and the quality of services provided. He praised the vital role GASIMP plays in managing the missing persons file, particularly noting the significant progress recently achieved in the Derna file. He urged for continued momentum to provide much-needed support and definitive answers to the affected families.

Honoring Years of Service

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Nassiya attended a ceremony honoring one of GASIMP’s dedicated staff members on the occasion of his retirement. He presented a commemorative shield to Mr. Ibrahim Al-Ruwaisi, in recognition of his years of hard work, dedication, and sincere contribution to the Authority’s mission.
