The Chairman of the General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons (GASIMP), Prof. Dr. Kamal Al-Siwi, participated in a specialized workshop organized by the National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management. The event featured a distinguished group of Libyan and international experts, with the active participation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Strengthening National Response and Coordination
The workshop aimed to enhance institutional coordination and build national capacities in emergency and crisis management. Discussions focused on exchanging expertise and adopting international best practices to elevate readiness levels and ensure an effective response to humanitarian crises and disasters.

During the sessions, Prof. Dr. Al-Siwi emphasized the vital importance of integrating efforts between national entities and international partners. He commended the UNDP for its pivotal role in supporting initiatives aimed at developing response systems and building the technical and institutional capacities specifically related to the missing persons file.
